Joy Anderson’s story is much like many women’s stories. Suddenly a single mother of three, and needing to pay the mortgage at the end of the month, Joy had two options:

1.      Start an in-home daycare.

2.      Get a job and put her own children in daycare.

She weighed the pros and cons of her two choices.

With a home daycare she would:

  • Work 12-hour days
  • Care for children from infants to school age
  • Have to change diapers!
  • Have little mental, emotional, and physical energy left when her long workdays were over
  • Have her children with her, but would have to divide her them and her client’s children
  • Could pay her bills each month

With a job she would:

  • Spend a lot of time away from home with her long workdays + the commute
  • Have to put her children in daycare
  • Have little mental, emotional, and physical energy left when her long workdays were over
  • Could pay her bills each month

She had always been a stay at home mom and now that her children were facing the challenges of a divorce, she couldn’t bring herself to put them in either of those energy draining situations. If only there were a third option…

Maybe I Can Teach Preschool!

There was a third option! Joy created a full-time income teaching preschool in her home. And she only worked about five hours a day! She made a lot of mistakes, hit a lot of roadblocks, and learned a lot along the way. Having discovered that third option all those years ago, Joy is now passionate about helping other mothers discover how they can make a full-time income and still stay home with their children.

After she created an at home business teaching preschool in her home, she grew it to multiple locations and eventually sold her preschool business. Joy now shares the knowledge she has gained helping other mothers avoid the mistakes she made.

When the COVID-19 lockdowns started she led her Preschool All Stars in how to start online preschools. And this new online preschool business model is giving mothers a whole new option to stay home with their children and still earn a full-time income, while helping all those parents whose local preschools have closed their doors.

But Why Would Anyone Want Online Preschool?

There are a lot of “educational” choices on the internet. There are multiple apps, websites, and videos that your children can watch and interact with, but these tools provide no human interaction. There are actual studies that show how video game usage in young children rewires their brains. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more than one hour of quality screen time for preschool aged children.

With Joy’s online preschool model, the students can learn from and interact with a real preschool teacher and with real preschool friends. They can talk to each other via an online platform such as Zoom or Google Meets, learn each other’s names, learn to have conversations with their peers, learn to follow instructions, and learn how to ask questions.

But most importantly, the real-life preschool teacher can assess their skills and tailor the online classroom lessons to improve and strengthen the skills each child needs to work on. That is something no “educational” app can do.

Could This Be the At Home Income Opportunity You Are Looking For?

Joy has helped 1000’s of women start successful local preschools, but with the lower barriers to entry, maybe starting an online preschool can help you pay your bills, while staying home with your little ones.
