If you’d like to build your preschooler’s life skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them not play with guns.
WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH GUNS
Even if you don’t have guns in your own home, it’s extremely important to teach your preschooler not to play with guns. Children are extremely curious, and when given the opportunity they will get in to things we would never think they would get in to. You can never guarantee that every place your child goes for the rest of their lives will be completely safe, so it’s important to teach them about safety while they are young so they can protect themselves. When your preschooler understands the danger of playing with a gun, they are more likely to remove themselves from a situation where a gun is involved, reducing the risk of a tragic accident.
