If you’d like to build your preschooler’s math skills, make sure that you don’t forget to help them demonstrate greater and fewer using numbers 1-10.

Top 5 Ways to Help Preschoolers Demonstrate Greater and Fewer Using Numbers 1-10

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD DEMONSTRATE GREATER AND FEWER USING NUMBERS 1-10

Preschoolers need plenty of opportunities to explore number concepts, including greater than and less than, through play in order to develop strong math skills. First, they need to understand that numbers hold value. Then, they can begin to learn about greater than and less than, which helps children understand how one number is different from another number. is a great way to introduce addition and subtraction.

Since preschoolers think concretely, it is important to use physical objects when teaching about number values and other math concepts. Start simple by demonstrating just one more and one less. This is a great way to introduce addition and subtraction.
