If you’d like to build your preschooler’s language skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them talk to adults.
WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD TALK TO ADULTS
Preschoolers need to learn to talk to adults in order to expand their communication skills, as well as grow their self confidence. Speaking to an adult can often be intimidating for a preschooler, and building self confidence can help your preschooler feel comfortable approaching an adult when they need to. It’s important for your preschooler to be able to express their needs to other adults when they are under their care. Preschoolers should also know that they have adults in their life that they can talk to about their feelings and problems who will believe them and help them.
