If you’d like to build your preschooler’s math skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them know their age.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD KNOW THEIR AGE
Preschoolers should know as much about themselves as possible in order to help them create a sense of self worth and build their confidence. When preschoolers are asked questions about themselves and they are able to answer they gain confidence in their communication skills. Learning their age can help your preschooler see the importance of numbers, and feel more of a personal attachment to them. When your preschooler understands that their age changes every year, they begin to understand the concept of time. Studies have shown that preschoolers tend to have a confusion about what causes aging, and preschoolers that deal with anxiety may benefit from a better understanding of aging.
