If you’d like to build your preschooler’s social and emotional skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them develop empathy.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD DEVELOP EMPATHY
It’s important for your preschooler to develop empathy so that they can better connect with those around them. When your preschooler shows empathy they are showing a true understanding for human emotion. Caring for others, and putting their needs above our own is an important skill, and once it’s learned it will carry on with your preschooler throughout their life, allowing for them to grow in to a kind and compassionate adult. These skills allow your preschooler to live a more positive life, which will ultimately improve their mental health.
