If you’d like to build your preschooler’s math skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them learn how to create AB patterns.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD CREATE AB PATTERNS
Learning to recognize and create patterns are the foundation for many important early math skills. When preschoolers work on patterns they are also building problem solving and reasoning skills. This is important to being able to make predictions based on what they see as well, another important math skill.
Pattern awareness also prepares preschoolers for more complicated number concepts. A child’s ability to recognize and create patterns is directly related to their future achievement in math, even more so than other early math skills.
