You want to add more value to your preschool, but you’re just not quite sure how to make your preschool unique, right? Here are 10 different niches that will make your preschool unique and tips on how to implement them into your program.

How to Make Your Preschool Unique
As you’re creating your preschool, you have to stand out from the crowd. You have to position yourself as the best preschool to be able to deliver the solution of a fantastic preschool experience. And you can’t do that by being like everyone else. You have to model what is working, then put your own unique spin on it.
To find your unique selling point, ask yourself these questions: How can you set yourself apart from the competition? What will make your preschool unique? What is your target market desperately wanting that, if you provided it, they would enroll right away?
Do you remember when I discussed what my target market wanted in a preschool? On every flyer I make, I always make sure to list those features and benefits, regardless of the size of the flyer. Be sure to list all of your features and benefits on your own flyer. This way, you’re actually pre-selling them by removing their objections so they’re left with no other option than to call and take a tour!
Our most successful preschool owners have a unique niche for their preschool, or a unique selling point. They offer more than just preschool. You might be asking yourself, “But Joy, what is my niche? What is my unique selling point? What should I focus on in my preschool?” We’re glad you asked! The most successful preschools we’ve seen have offered a very specific type of experience.

The More Specialized Your Preschool Program Is The Higher Your Tuition Can Be
There are a lot of preschools, but there are not a lot of preschools that also teach piano, or baseball, or that offer Mommy and Me classes. The more specialized your preschool program is, the higher you can set your tuition. Not only does the specialty raise the perceived value of your preschool, but it also teaches the children a valuable skill in addition to the standard letters, numbers, colors, and shapes that most preschools focus on.
Even if you are currently teaching regular preschool, you can still add a specialty to your preschool program. Adding something when parents register for the following year is a good time to do it. You can raise your tuition and tell your parents “Tuition prices for next school year are X amount of dollars, and we will also be adding a Spanish curriculum to our classes.”
If you aren’t sure what you would like to add, plan a few units that incorporate one of the ideas and see how it goes. If you don’t like it, move on to the next idea, but if you do like it, make plans to keep teaching it to your students.
Making your preschool unique will benefit you, your parents, and mostly, it will benefit your students.
