If you’d like to build your preschooler’s math skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them to know shapes.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD KNOW SHAPES
Knowing shapes helps strengthen your preschooler’s observation skills by focusing on identifying the differences in the shapes and grouping them together. Understanding shapes is an important first step in your preschooler being able to put together a puzzle.
Your preschooler will start their shape learning journey by pointing out a few shapes, and then learning to identify 1-2 shapes. By the age of 5 most preschooler’s will be able to identify 4 or more shapes.
