If you’d like to build your preschooler’s social and emotional skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them be patient.
WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD BE PATIENT
Preschoolers that learn to be patient are going to have a much easier time dealing with every day situations. Life often requires us to wait and it’s important to understand that waiting can often lead to reward. When we try to rush through things that should take more time, we often end up with a sloppy result. Learning patience teaches your preschooler about self control, which is important in developing social and emotional skills. When your preschooler can be patient, they will be able to wait their turn to play with a toy, and be less anxious about upcoming activities.
