If you’d like to build your preschooler’s language skills, make sure that you don’t forget to teach them to use an indoor voice.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD USE AN INDOOR VOICE
Voice volume is something that most people take for granted. The ability to control your volume is a valuable language tool though. When you are able to control your voice you are able to use it to catch people’s attention, express importance, and create interest.
Young children have a hard time controlling their volume, but it is important for them to learn which situations require different voices. In order to effectively teach your preschooler to use an indoor voice though, you must also help them build strong self control skills.
