If you’d like to build your preschooler’s life skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them take initiative.
WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD TAKE INITIATIVE
Learning to take initiative is an important step in your preschooler learning about responsibility. Taking initiative shows an understanding of what needs to be done, and displays self confidence. Each time your preschooler accomplishes a task they weren’t told to do they further develop the belief that they can accomplish things on their own. When your preschooler believes in themselves, they are more likely to continue to try new things. Preschoolers who take initiative frequently often make great leaders.
