If you’d like to build your preschooler’s language skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them role play.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD ROLE PLAY
Preschoolers need to role play in order to expand their imaginations, improve their social skills, and develop important language skills. When your preschooler role plays they are entering in to worlds they may otherwise not be able to explore, allowing them the ability to build unlimited knowledge. Your preschooler may role play as a doctor and learn about empathy, and how to bandage a small scrape, or they may go on a shopping trip to the farmers market and learn about fresh fruits and vegetables, and how to exchange money. Role playing builds your preschooler’s confidence and allows them the opportunity to explore their imagination limitlessly.
