If you’d like to build your preschooler’s life skills, make sure that you don’t forget about helping them to not talk to strangers.

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD NOT TALK TO STRANGERS

Children see the best in everyone, and as much as we want to protect that innocence it’s important for your preschooler to learn that not everybody has their best interest at heart. Preschoolers should be taught the potential dangers of talking to strangers when you’re not close by, or walking away with anyone they don’t know. In an effort to keep our children safe, they often develop a confusion about what a stranger is, and who they should and shouldn’t speak with. Helping your child identify safe strangers, like police officers, and firemen, can help your preschooler understand that in an emergency situation there are some strangers they need to speak to.
