*NOTE: This is a kindergarten skill, but we’re sharing here because many preschoolers are advanced. If your preschooler is ready for this skill, feel free to teach it!

If you’d like to build your preschooler’s math skills, make sure that you don’t forget to help them know numbers 11-20.

Top 5 Ways to Help Preschoolers Know Numbers 11-20

WHY PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD KNOW NUMBERS 11-20

Number recognition, the ability to recognize and name numbers, is an important early math skill. It is a small part of number sense, which is the foundation for all future math skills. Children will learn to count and recognize numbers best through meaningful play and life experiences.

Exposing your child to numbers and engaging them in interesting number activities will motivate them to learn to recognize numbers. Do not drill them on numbers. Instead, allow them to explore numbers and counting through play.
