If you’ve ever wondered what to say in your preschool teacher ad, use our example below to create your own.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR:

  • A safe haven to teach at?
  • A place where you can call your second home?
  • A place where you can collaborate with our teachers and get back to the basics of LOVING TEACHING?
  • The chance to have creative liberty to create your own lesson plans, your own class schedule, and your own activities to reach our developmentally appropriate goals?

ARE YOU:

  • LOYAL (We’d like you to teach with us for several years!)
  • UPBEAT (It takes a lot of energy to keep up with our preschoolers!)
  • LOVING TO CHILDREN (This is required of course!)

IF SO, THEN KEEP READING!

We would love for you to join our team. This might just be the job you’re looking for! At our preschool:

  • We are a drama-free school.
  • Our team works so well together, and we’re looking for just one more teacher to come join us.
  • So if you’re a HAPPY, fun, loving, teachable teacher who LOVES 3-5 year olds and who is ready to collaborate with our team, we invite you to apply!

YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US!

  • We have (2) positions at our premier private preschool program!
  • We are not a daycare. We only teach preschool classes to children ages 3-5.
  • Since we opened in 2008, our classes have been full every year. We tripled enrollment in 2011. We are now the largest preschool in the valley who does not do daycare. In total, we teach around 150 families each year.
  • You’ll have your OWN preschool classes to yourself, allowing you to grow valuable relationships with the children and parents.
  • We pride ourselves on rewarding our teachers with high-paying wages, paid professional development training, and constant support!
  • We are fully licensed through the state.
  • You can learn more about us and see how we foster a deep sense of community at our website: _________________

2 LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Please note: While we say “Lead” Teacher we only use that term for hiring purposes, as we don’t want to hire anyone who can’t handle a preschool class of 12 children on their own (you will NOT have an assistant.) If you have only been an Assistant Preschool Teacher in the past, this is not the job for you. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, multi-tasks extremely well, and can perform happily under the many pressures of managing a preschool class by yourself.

  • Teaching Period: Aug. 18 – June 6 (and each school year after)
  • Location: _________________
  • Ages: 3-5
  • Wages
    • Hourly: $12/hr.
    • Paid Prep/Cleaning Time: 30 min. each teaching day
    • Supply Budget: $50/mo.
  • Class Schedule:
    • T_TH 9-11:30 a.m. (12 students)
    • T_TH 12-2:30 p.m. (12 students)
    • MWF 9-11:30 a.m. (12 students)
    • MWF 12-2:30 p.m. (12 students)

PRESCHOOL TEACHER DUTIES

  • Teach with love and laughter
  • Plan your own curriculum by following NAEYC guidelines to help each of your students reach their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical goals. Our teachers pull from several different teaching models and philosophies, but our preschool runs most like a Creative Curriculum classroom would.
  • Engage your students in developmentally appropriate activities through hands-on teaching.
  • Manage your class effectively and lovingly on your own.
  • Build close friendships with your students and their families.
  • Collaborate weekly during our team meetings.
  • Assess students 3x/year (with our Assessment Kit) and hold Parent Teacher Conferences 2x/year.
  • Become CPR/1st Aid Certified within first month of hire.
  • Participate in our after-school events such as our Fall Carnival, Christmas Party, and Graduation.
  • Clean and sanitize your room each day.
  • Compile a portfolio of each students’ projects each year.

OUR PREFERRED TEACHER WOULD HAVE:

  • Several years of lead or solo preschool teaching experience
  • Bachelor degree or some college in Early Childhood Education or related degree
  • A teachable, positive attitude ready to collaborate with our team
  • A schedule that allows him/her to only want to teach for summers, or for the 10-month school year

TO APPLY, PLEASE EMAIL THE FOLLOWING TO <email address>

  • Resume
  • Cover Letter that answers these questions
    • Which position(s) you are applying for and why that specific schedule is perfect for you
    • Why you want to work with our preschool for several years
    • Why you can effectively manage a class of 12 preschoolers on your own

NOTE:

  • Unfortunately, because our classes are always full, there is no room for your own children (if applicable). Please make other childcare arrangements if necessary.
  • We do not offer insurance or benefits.
  • No phone calls or drop-ins. We are accepting resumes via email only.
  • This listing will remain open until all positions are filled.
